Choirs

The Choir of Christ the Redeemer is a caring, praying community dedicated to serving God and his Church through musical excellence. The all-volunteer group includes adults, college students, and high school students. Minister of Music, Dan McKinley, leads the group, which rehearses in the church, Thursdays, 7:15-9:15 PM and Sundays, 9:30-10:15 AM.

The choir participates in the 10:30 AM Sunday Eucharist, September to Trinity (June). The choir also sings at special services such as Choral Evensong, All Souls, Christmas Lessons and Carols, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, and the Holy Week Triduum: Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Great Vigil of Easter. New members are welcome. Child care is provided.

The Cherubim Choir (grades 1-3) and Seraphim Choir (grades 4+) are open to all children, regardless of experience.  All are invited into this experience, designed not only to teach children to sing, but to mold them into active and thoughtful participants in the Great Tradition of worship that we have received.

These groups prepare participants to be musical adult Christians. Therefore they sing an age-appropriate repertoire that stretches horizons, teaches substance, encourages appreciation, and trains for maturity. We discuss the theology of anthems and hymns, and thus impart an education that is both Christian and musical. Dan McKinley and Cyndi Kreyling lead the Seraphim and Cherubim Choirs for grades 1 to 8, Wednesdays at 4:30 PM. All are welcome; no previous experience is required.
