Christ the Redeemer is the center of Anglican outreach to college students on the North Shore. It is a great place for students of all denominational backgrounds, or no denominational background, to be exposed to the Anglican experience of Christianity, especially through liturgical worship. We look forward to working in cooperation with the Anglican Diocese of New England and other Christian college ministries to reach out to college students.
College ministry at CTR in this past year focused on facilitating the contentedness of our college students to the life of the parish. Informal coffee/tea and lunch meetings turned into opportunities to offer pastoral care and spiritual discipleship. We offered a couple of Sunday afternoon teas to students this past term, which provided space for spiritual conversation, good times, and some release from the stresses of study. At times during the year we offered a weekly Eucharist service on the campus of Gordon College and morning prayer. This has provided some students an opportunity to explore Anglican and liturgical worship, as well as given our students (and other CTR attendees) a chance for a midweek worship opportunity.
