The women's ministry is called WOW, Women of the Word, a place for women to connect, protect, and reflect.
Their logo, "Rooted and grounded in love" is based on Ephesians 3:17: "And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love." (NLT)
The women's ministry enjoyed four brunches this past year. Each had on a different theme: in August 2011, "Joy in the Journey", in October 2011, "Launching Life with Lydia", in December 2011, "Preparing for Christ's coming", and in March 2012, "God's Love" using our Women's Ministry motto, Ephesians 3:17-18. The brunches were beautiful (with decorations), bountiful (with food and fellowship), engaging with sharing music, scriptural dance, and the small group discussions.
The women's ministry is looking forward to another year of growing in Christ and fellowship and opportunities for outreach and fellowship. It has been personally rewarding to hear from many of the women concerning both the Bible study and brunches. One young mom said “I love the brunches because it gives me an opportunity to invite unchurched friends!" As we plan for next year, we look forward to God's continuing to surprise us with His abundant riches "exceedingly beyond anything we could ask or dare imagine, according to His power that is at work within us." "To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever!"
